Committee on Oversight and Government Reform
U.S. House of Representatives
2157 Rayburn House Office Building
Washington, D.C. 20515

Dear Committee Members;

Please produce a full report for the American public that wholly discloses the cost to American tax payers of President Obama’s political travels during the campaign year January 1, 2010 through Election Day just as was done for the 2002 campaign year.  I know the cost will not be as high as it was for President Bush ($4.7) during 2002 because Obama’s support is not always welcome by democrat candidates.

While you are tracking these figures, I also encourage the committee to act on H.CON.RES.185 Title: Expressing the sense of Congress that the President should issue, and Congress should hold hearings on, a report and a certification regarding the responsibilities, authorities, and powers of his "czars". I understand it has been stuck in your committee since September 2009.

You should include all costs to the American tax payers for the facilities these czars use, their paid assistants, their pay plus overheads, trips and so forth. Also included should be their qualifications for their czar positions, their former affiliations, affiliations of their immediate family members and any other information that would fully inform American citizens.

Thank you for the hard work this committee commits itself to.

Shelley Jones

Ps: Could you add member links on your website for the Republicans on your committee?  I see that only the Democrats have links provided right now.

Theodore Roosevelt's ideas on Immigrants and being an AMERICAN in 1907.
 'In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American....There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag... We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language.. And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people.'
Theodore Roosevelt 1907

Yes, even Teddy understood what immigration should be about
